Introduction
It is known that people need to shine in
their daily lives to complete the tasks at work, at home or in their places of
comfort. These lights, which are used to complete such tasks, are either
natural (solar) or industrial (electricity) lighting with an electrical source.
The following elements must be available in order to be considered energy
efficient:
1. Valid lighting standards.
2. Proper lighting plan and duly executed
and controlled by a suitable system consisting of bulbs, electric transformer,
lighting intensity and control panels.
Objective
of the session
Participants will be able to:
Coverage of special considerations and
requirements for energy efficient lighting solutions in buildings.
The things to consider in energy efficiency
to achieve design goals are:
• Select the light intensity and color
indicator to do the tasks according to lighting specifications.
• Consider the amount of natural light
(sun) that can be used to reduce operational costs.
• Choose the preferred type of lighting
systems.
• Choose the best types of control to
ensure the best efficiency for users.
• Choice of lamps, transformers, type of
high efficiency lighting, and the appropriate method of control and design.
• Calculate energy density and ensure that
it is within the recommended standard.
