The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) hosted via its training institute EJABI
(Euro-Jordanian Advanced Business Institute) an event together with and for the
DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service in Jordan and JADU, the Society of
Jordanians graduated from Germany “German Alumni”. Purpose of the event was
to inform all interested persons about the possibilities of studying in Germany in general and with stipends of the DAAD, especially
on PhD level, in specific. DAAD Director in Jordan, Ms. Gabriele von FIRCKS together
with her DAAD-team-members Ms. Razan ISHAQAT and Ms. Lara AL-BAIRUTI provided a
very detailed and informative presentation to the large audience (more than
300) before patiently answering, together with Eng. Tawfiq ABU IRSHAID,
Chairman of JADU, all the individual and multifaceted questions of the
inquisitive attendees.
In addition to the DAAD information,
Mr. Osama Abu Hantash as representative of EJABI introduced to the responsive
audience EJABI’s offers for training and further education as well as EJABI’s
possibilities as venue place.
Including all vivid
question cycles, the event lasted for more than two hours, before the official
part of the event was concluded. Further discussion continued in smaller groups
for a while.
